Picasso Design was founded in Malibu, CA. in 2002, by Charles G. Hyder, after spenting over 25 years in the Fine Art business, as a Gallery Owner, Director and Curator of fine art in his own galleries in La Canada, CA and Santa Fe, NM.

"As an artisan craftsman, my love of form and design can be seen in all my projects. I use imagination and creativity as a paint brush, to enhance the beauty of your living and working spaces.  My love for Popular Culture and its influence on contemporary life and design, can be seen in all my works.  The principle idea behind all my projects is simply, "to make the world a more beautiful place".

Inspirations
My projects are inspired by the Bulgarian artist Christo & Jeanne-Clude who create Environmental Art Installation around the world. "I was first drawn to their work with their installation of the Running Fence, which traversed the rolling hills in Marin and Sonoma Counties in Northern California, during the fall of 1976 and The Umbrellas, which where installed along Interstate 5, running through the Tejon Pass in Southern California in 1991. Their work was breathtaking, so visually impressive in it's beauty and scale; it left a profound impact on me. Their use of the natural environment as a canvas helps me understand that any projects, when approached with an aesthetic eye, can be seen as art".
